styleOverlay creates 4 rules with 3 or 4 loaders each

I was planning to override webpack config with typings-for-css-modules-loader but I find it a bit overwhelming figuring out what and where exactly I should alter to make it working. I know, the number rules partially depends on my dependencies, but I wonder if the config should be that complicated?

Plus, is there a performance penalty with all the loaders and processing?
