[Hubs] Architecture – Add an architecture diagram to docs
⚠️ Problem
People want to see an architecture diagram of what's included in FinOps hubs.
🛠️ Solution
Add an architecture diagram to the docs and the AQT readme that includes:
- Cost Management pushes exports to ADLS
- ADF reads data from and transforms data to parquet in ADLS
- Power BI reads data from ADLS
- ADF reads credentials from KeyVault

We could use your help:
- Please vote this issue up (👍) to prioritize it.
- Do you want to see any other resources captured in the diagram?
- Should this cover the deployment process as well, which includes other resources?
- Are the current data processing diagrams sufficient or do we need to update those as well? If so, how?
- Leave comments to help us solidify the vision.
What do we think about this:
PowerPoint Diagrams are easy to use and icons come from - https://github.com/David-Summers/Azure-Design
My suggestion would be to have multiple diagrams depending on how detailed we want to be on each design phase. Azure FinOps Diagrams 11-24.pptx
I think this is a good start, but it should be updated to reflect the changes in v0.7, which includes a VNet, various Subnets/NSGs, Private Endpoints, DNS Zones, etc.
It would also be great (at a lower-level), to show/list the permissions each Managed Identity has/needs, the storage container structure, etc.
