Why is it necessary to exclude login domains?

Why is it necessary to exclude the different login domains to prevent Microsoft Teams from crashing? In theory, if the URL isn't among the URLs to watch, it should be skipped which is equivalent of excluding it.

    "!*.microsoft.com",
    "!*.live.com",
    "!*.office.net",
    "!*.office365.com",
    "!*.office.com",
    "!*.cloud.microsoft"
