- Reboot.
@riverar but what about separate apps that want to use Phi Silica?
On Windows 11 25H2 (Release channel), instructions above fixed AI Dev Gallery, but they don't make this code below work - Access Denied no matter what branch of Windows App SDK is used (1.8 production or 2.0 experimental):
@danielkornev I'm seeing that too; I haven't had time to fully debug it yet.
Some tips:
- If you're unpackaged, that's not supported anymore.
- If you're packaged w/ full trust, verify you have
systemAIModelsrescap. - If you're packaged w/o full trust, ensure you have the
systemAIModelsandpackageManagementrescaps. - Double check Settings > Privacy and Security >Text and image generation > Let apps use [...] is toggled to On.
Update: Seems to be working well now, perhaps some updates were missing?
Tested on 26220.6760 and 6772 / 2025-09 Phi Silica version 1.2509.1022.0 ✅
ah, so this won't work on 25H2 (26200.6725)?

Should work the same. Phi Silica APIs are technically GA.
did this get fixed? I've worked around it using the 2.0.Experimental1 but don't really want ship with experimental. Last time i heard it was due to be fixed late october
