Repro Steps
- Turn on Virtualization on BIOS
- Open Windows PowerShell (as Adminstrator)
- Turn all required features in Control Panel > Turn Windows Features on or off
- Run the following commands:
- dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:Microsoft-Windows-Subsystem-Linux /all /norestart
- dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:VirtualMachinePlatform /all /norestart
- wsl --set-default-version 2
- wsl --install
- The result is: Downloading: Ubuntu Installing: Ubuntu An invalid argument was supplied. Error code: Wsl/InstallDistro/Service/RegisterDistro/CreateVm/0x80072726
It used to be very easy to install WSL before. But now I can't install it. I have tried many different ways before posting this issue here.
Expected Behavior
Should install successfully

The script will output the path of the log file once done.
