@paulip114 How easy is this for you to reproduce? My team owns the Windows component that is failing here. We've seen sporadic reports of this issue, but are having a bugger of a time narrowing this down. If it's easy for you to reproduce on your system, I'd be interested in working with you to dive in together. Wish I had better news, but I would love to get to the bottom of this. Thanks! Matt
@mattkur Nice to see your message. It happened every time when I try to use WSL 2 to start Linux. However, if I use WSL 1, it works fine. I am sure I did enable visualization on BIOS (I am using AMD core so SVM is enabled). The configuration of Microsoft Hyper V are all enabled.
I am also interested to work with you together! You can contact me privately though my email [email protected]
Thanks @paulip114 . Sending you an email.
I am consistently receiving this same error ( The Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management service encountered an unexpected error: A virtual disk support provider for the specified file was not found. (0xC03A0014).) trying to create ANY VM on my Windows 11 Pro machine. I have one SSD and one HDD installed. Error is consistent trying to create either a VM or simply a VHD/VHDX on either. Would like to be included in the effort if at all possible. [email protected]
I'm getting this issue consistently and have yet to find a workaround. I've had several people at a tech support company working on this as well and no one has been able to get past it. Is this some kind of massive bug in windows? Its pretty difficult to get things setup for code development without some of the tools supplied by WSL.
Thanks @paulip114 . Sending you an email. Hi Matt, I did not receive your email. Can you try to send it again?
I'm having this issue on a ~ 1 month old Windows 11 Pro install. Specifically, the error in the title of this issue.
