We need additional details on what the R project contains to get a better idea of the issue.

@MikhailArkhipov I think he means that if he opened a drop-down menu in VS, it would disappear after a few seconds. In #4307 I too have this issue during recursing of R Host process. However it can't be sure that he needs to check his task manager. If so, perhaps my comment can provide him a workaround.
