Spatial Reverb

Hello Devs!

I am experiencing cut offs with the Spatial Reverb plug-in in Wwise on trigger sounds.

For example a voice (file length about 600-800ms) gets reverberated, but there is no audible tail.

The Metadata RTPCs are set to linear, so it should at least play for 5 seconds, but the reverberated signal is as short as the file length of the source. I can also hear clicking while it cuts off (Spatial Reverb soloed). I tried different curves, but can not find any lengthening, only more predelay and diffuse energy.

Also wondering why sound emitters placed on the map have RTPC values updated in the GameSync profiler, but any trigger sound (weapon, voice on trigger) does not receive any updates or visible cues.

Am I missing something?

Update: It also happens on my 1P footsteps, the shorter, the worse is my experience. Do you know of any bugs regarding the Spatial Reverb or is it really me? Worst case is using only the Convolution Reverb, as both do not work in one instance of a game, but then I don't have any Early Reflections, right?

Hi dr0p1n, thank you for reaching out with your issue, apologies for the delay. It sounds as though WWISE might be tearing down the spatial reverb bus once the voice count goes to 0. We are working on a bugfix for this, but in the meantime, you may be able to get around the issue by sending WWISE a constantly-active silent audio source, to keep the voice count > 0. Let me know if that helps you with your issue. Regarding your second issue, when you say "trigger sound does not receive any updates or visible cues" do you mean you're not seeing the acoustic parameters when enabling the debug view? Or is there a different configuration you had in mind? Looking forward to helping you further!
