HWINFO 64 won't launch with Command Palette but does launch with Power Toys Run

Steps to reproduce

  • Launch Command Palette
  • Type "HWINFO"
  • Enter to select HWINFO 64

✔️ Expected Behavior

HWInfo to launch and execute similar to Power Toys Run.

❌ Actual Behavior

Nothing. It doesn't show up in Task Manager either.

Additional Information

OS: Windows 11

HWINFO does launch via the Start Menu as well.

The issue still exists with v0.93.

Experiencing the same thing, I think in one or a couple of the previous versions it was launching hwinfo just fine.

I'm having the same issue. Sticking with Powertoys Run until this is fixed.

Still broken with 0.95 on palette, powertoy run works fine with launching hwinfo still though

can confirm 0.96.1 still broken. it's weird how its specific to this app.

workaround: i fixed it by enabling "run this program as administrator" in the compatibility tab of the shortcut. ("C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\HWiNFO® 64\HWiNFO® 64")
