I upgraded to latest version (v0.91.1) the issue disappeared. Maybe re-install will resolve it?

No, just when I finish this commend, the issue re-appeared.

looks like the issue comes from the settings: Shell integration - Show File Locksmith in:

When I choose Extended context menu only, there is no menu item at all. When I choose Default and extended context menu, there are two menu items.

BTW, both of the issue comes from the users who switch back to Win10 style context menu on Win11. I think thats where the problem lies.

Oh I see, the 'extended context menu' means shift + right click

Same issue as mentioned by @MichaelSuen-thePointer

Extended context menu only: No entry in any context menu

Default and extended context menu: Two entries

Latest Windows 11 24H2 (Fresh install), Powertoys v0.93.0

These are the two entries in my registry: Image Image

Anyone knows how we can remove the top context menu entry? Removing the FlieLocksmithExt entries in registry will only remove the bottom entry.

For future reference, the extra entry can be removed by running this in powershell (run as admin):

Get-ChildItem -Path "Registry::HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PackagedCom\Package\Microsoft.PowerToys.FileLocksmithContextMenu_*\Class\*" | Remove-Item -Recurse
