Is there another app open in the foreground when you switch to the other desktop (which cmdpal might be opening under)? If so, is that app running as admin?

Are you using the low-level keyboard hook or not?

I ran into this issue and am able to recreate it. I use GlazeWM to create workspaces (virtual desktops), but am able to recreate it with the default virtual desktops. I am on Windows 10 so I am not sure if that causes any issues, When I hit the shortcut to open command palette and leave it open, then hit ctrl+windows+d to create a new desktop. The new desktop is unable to open command palette . This only happens sometimes. I am unsure of all the edge cases because I was able to get it working on a new desktop if I reopen the palette on the original desktop, then close it, then go to the desktop, but sometimes this doesn't solve it. I think it has to do with command palette not properly closing when moving to a new desktop. I have tested with low level keyboard on and off and it doesn't seem to impact whether or not it happens.
