Open already open programs - Command pallet
Description of the new feature / enhancement
Hi, It would be great for command pallet to open a program when it is already running. This would be great for switching programs, to the one you exactly want.
Scenario when this would be used?
When I'd have Vivaldi running, and I want to switch to it - I'd just run command pallet and select Vivaldi. Or I forgot that a specific program is already open, allowing me to open the program it and resume my workflow.

I do notice that there is a implementation for this. But this takes an extra key to navigate to this - it would be better to just have the option when you open that program, or when it is launched, to view the applications that are already open at the start.
You can set the Window Walker plugin to open directly with a shortcut, does that solve your need? /needinfo
(I suppose we probably could have MainListPage cross-reference that app with open windows from window walker, and add a "switch to" context command if there is one. Probably just the MRU window for that app? I just don't know how we'd be totally sure that we found the right HWND to switch to)
Yes, that automatic switch to a active open program would be great. Having to use another key to switch is kinda annoying.
Oh hey you know what? Let's dedupe this with /dup #39125
Hi,
i recommend renaming the Title to a more search friendly one.
Your are "switching" to an open application, you don't open a open App.
