Description of the new feature / enhancement

We need to investigate how we can make debugging extensions as simple and straightforward as possible.

This is a general issue to spend cycles thinking about the debugging story and working to expand the documentation for it.

Scenario when this would be used?

Whenever folks are building extensions of course! :)
