This is a better experience, but I'm curious if this is possible. Do you know of any existing apps that work this way or is it just the Windows Clipboard?
up to now, I only find the windows built-in clipboard management software. I am not good at windows development, do not know whether this is possible on windows. This is easy to implement on macos.
<conjecture> I'm guessing what's going on here is that the clipboard history popup is preventing a WM_KILLFOCUS from going to the foreground app. So the app retains "focus", but it loses foreground to the clipboard history.
I don't know how that works off the top of my head. I bet something similar could be achieved with a low-level hook to intercept the WM_KILLFOCUS sent right as we're opening our window. Wouldn't work for admin windows, but 🤷
