Steps to reproduce

Using the shortcut to launch the screen ruler and then selecting a ruler type. As soon as the measurements start showing up the screen goes completely black, apart from the line and values the Screen Ruler provides.

✔️ Expected Behavior

No black screen.

❌ Actual Behavior

Ruler is engaging with applications in the background and my wallpaper. But its all hidden behind a black screen. I can scroll to change the pixel sensitivity, and i can see the ruler find contrast in different part of screen where an application's window might have ended.
