I am also facing same issues. Observed today only. PFBS. Kindly get such critical issues fixed at high priority.

Noticed this today with Run and Color Picker. When I was in the settings I noticed Quick Accent wasn't enabled (which I use) and I observed the same issue (I assume this isn't intentional by the way but maybe this is just how much memory these things use nowadays).

Let me know if I can provide any other information (config, memory dump, whatever).

EDIT: the RAM usage seems to go down by almost half if I disconnect my second monitor and am only using the laptop screen itself.

Same issue, even after I did a fresh install with v0.87.1. FUnnily enough, it is (more or less) only these Extensions. Other extensions, such as Awake/Advanced Paste/Peek/Find my mouse do not use so much RAM.

Same for me.

300 MB of RAM on system startup, before I initiated the Color Picker:

Same. When I open the Run bar and type, the results may freeze and then it runs up memory. Ran up my page file until I had no disk space left. Now it's happening almost every other time I try to use it

New Command Palette eats 300-450MB easily. That's why I'm using just a couple of PowerToys with minimal memory footprint. It seems modern coding uses a "free memory = wasted memory" mantra 😀

+1, these are crazy amounts of RAM to be using for these tools, even if they were on screen, let alone hidden in the background.
