The buttons seem to work. The spot where X would be turns red but they still don't appear

Hi, i'm using PowerToys in dark mode and i face a similar issue for what i opened the ticket #27331 here are some captures to show what is happening on my side

With light theme i can see the buttons

When i switch from light to dark theme, the buttons are still visible

But as soon as the window loose the focus, the buttons goes dark and i no longer see them

they become visible again if i move my mouse over them

in light theme, the buttons become lighter when the window loose the focus but they still can be visible

After v0.74.1 update, the welcome window focused in dark mode i can barely see the black cross in the upper right corner

and the settings window title bar, when focused

and when not focused

not sure this ticket and ticket #27331 have the same root cause since i don't face the issue with light theme i always can see the buttons in light theme

The buttons (minimize, maximize, and close) are there, but they're barely visible. Also, they only disappear when the affected window has focus.

Trying version 0.92.1 now. Here is the result:

So, in short, no, the issue persists.

Update: On version 0.92, window controls only appear when the window is out of focus. As soon as it receives focus, the controls become almost invisible.

Thats the problem with those old theme watchers. Best leave things up to the framework.

Hmm... It appears the cause of this issue is the accent color. My indigo (#6667AB) accent color causes the dark mode to behave, but the light mode to fail. But when I changed the accent color to gold (#FF8C00), the light mode was okay, but the dark mode was broken.

A workaround is to remove this checkbox.

Issues are marked stale automatically if the author's response has been requested and they do not respond within 5 days. After another 5 days with no activity from anyone on the issue, the issue is closed.

As this is still an active thread, you can see that the stale status was automatically removed.

What's with this demand for author's feedback? We gave the necessary feedback. In all the likeliness, the author feels repeating what I tested and reported back is redundant and a waste of time. And the author would be right.
