Same for me. Had to disable MWB on both computers to keep them from waking. With MWB active they will wake even when manually putting them to sleep. And they stay awake. That is, they do not time-out and sleep as per the power settings.

Does deactivating this setting help? image

Unfortunately no, I've tried that seeing on the local and remote machine with no avail.

I can confirm that with MWB enabled on two computers, both with an Awake command-line setting to expire-at a specific time, neither one will go to screen-off after the expire-at time. With MWB disabled both computers will screen-off correctly.

Does it happen in service mode for you?

Yes, it does

If we can get this as a hotfix, that would be amazing

Same here, both computers in service mode

I am not sure if this belongs as a separate issue.

Mine is related to screen going off. If I have Screen set to go off in Windows 11 after 1 minute of inactivity (on computer with mouse/keyboard), the screen goes off after 1 minute. About 15 seconds later it comes back on. A minute later it goes off. About 15 seconds later it comes back on. It keeps doing this.

If I turn off MWB in PowerToys Settings, screen off behaves properly - screen goes off after 1 minute and stays off.

It makes no difference whether the computer without mouse/keyboard is on or not.

Not running MWB as a service.

Possibly related: Even without another device connected, and no user input, with PowerToys v0.70.1, my Surface refused to sleep properly, waking up regularly due to "Input Mouse":

This behavior also seems fixed with v0.70.1.

Fixed in 0.71 release of PowerToys. aka.ms/installpowertoys

I had same issue with PowerToys 0.72.

I'm on version 77. MWB will still wake the remote machine when MWB is launched. I've disabled WOL on the remote machine and it didn't affect it. Is there a work around to prevent this behavior?
