Steps to reproduce
File Explorer Addons, also this option is not available in the "Area(s) with Issue?" selection.
The problem pertains to a Portable Document Format (PDF) addon that consumes more than 30GB of system memory in a system with a capacity of only 16GB. By disabling the PDF addon, the problem is rectified, although it necessitates terminating the PDF addon's operation several times within a process explorer.
Using Everything (voidtools) to search for *.pdf on a network drive. Everything saves cached windows thumbnails (images) in memory.
✔️ Expected Behavior
Utilize a conservative amount of memory.
❌ Actual Behavior

Other Software
Everything Version 1.4.1.1022 (x64)
Continues to use an absurd amount of memory.
Bumping this, appears to affect other thumbnail provider services too. Here is PowerToys using 40GB of RAM for STL thumbnails. Windows 10, PowerToys 0.74.1, no explorer windows currently open, not even 40GB worth of STLs on the machine or attached network drives. Killing the process has no effect either, it just restarts with the same RAM usage.
