Mouse Jump doesn't work unless enabled through system tray launcher

Open J0n-b0 opened this issue 2 years ago • 6 comments

Microsoft PowerToys version

0.68.0

Installation method

PowerToys auto-update

Running as admin

Yes

Area(s) with issue?

Mouse Utilities, Settings, System tray interaction

Steps to reproduce

Have both the Mouse utilities section of the powertoys settings as well as the system tray launcher "All Apps" section up. Then click one of the two on/off switches. They should not line up. Only the system tray launcher enables/disables the feature, the settings switch does nothing.

Screenshot 2023-03-01 193453

✔️ Expected Behavior

The two on/off switches should line up, as well as the ability to enable/disable the setting through the settings bar, not just in the system tray.

❌ Actual Behavior

The two switches relating to Mouse Jump don't line up when clicked. Also, it only turns on/off when clicked through the system tray launcher, not in the settings.

FWIW, it seems to work here ok...

The settings stay in sync and Mouse Jump gets enabled via both the settings panel and the system tray shortcuts.

Might need some input from someone else more familiar with the settings UI to troubleshoot properly...

Ok so looking at the settings again, it seems to not be broken anymore? Both buttons now lineup and they both turn it on/off, so i guess it's fixed now? idk what i did differently, so I guess ill keep this opened?

There's some rare occasions where users are able to start two Settings processes at the same time. That might've happened here.
