Just tried it, but couldn't repro. I can delete a STL file without issues, it seems.

Can you please be a bit more specific on the steps to reproduce this? Which specific software were you trying to use at the time? Were you trying to delete with the file opened in the program you were using? Was this a one time off thing or consistent? A bug report might be useful here too. Thank you, in advance.

Hi there!

We need a bit more information to really debug this issue. Can you add a "Report Bug" zip file here? You right click on our system tray icon and just go to report bug. Then drag the zipfile from your desktop onto the GitHub comment box in this issue. Thanks!
Report Bug

I had that as well right now. I was using an older version because I was on an older Windows 10 build. Recently I was able to update Windows and PowerToys and now this is happening. I wasn't sure which one caused that, because the new Windows version did make a lot of stuff run slower like taking screenshots sometimes takes a couple of seconds to actually trigger and so on (it became unusable if I need a quick screenshot before stuff change on screen... but anyway, this is not the place for this report)

I've clicked on Report a bug. Where does it save it, so I can send it to you?

BTW, I've just tried deleting the file again now and it worked. The place where it didn't work was when I tried to overwrite it with a new file form the internet with same name

I have the same issue. Restarting the PC fixes it, but that shouldn't be required

This probably is a duplicate to #23508. I will upload bug report data the next time it happens.

The steps are really just creating a file, waiting, and then deleting it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The file is still locked when all programs are closed.
