Automatically set awake based on running apps

Open mquintela opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

Description of the new feature / enhancement

Awake config could have a section to add a list of potential executables that trigger awake behaviour while the app is running i.e. a la Gaming mode

Scenario when this would be used?

When the PC executes one of the programs on the selected list of executables. Once the executable is terminated, it should resume previous behavior

Can you elaborate how this will be useful specifically, @mquintela? AFAIK when you are gaming (a game is running) the PC won't go to sleep or shut off the monitors already. There is also already a --pid argument you can pass from the terminal (that likely also needs to be more customizable from the UI, but I digress) that you can use to bind the work of the tool to a specific process. Does that not address what you're trying to do?

I could really use the feature when running Jellyfin server (or Plex for that matter).
