You have helped me a lot, as I had a problem with vowels in French, that were improperly accentuated (and the subsequent space suppressed). Once I knew it was Quick Accent (I had forgotten the name), I got rid of the problem by increasing the delay. Oh, so I realize that I should rather inactivate Quick Accent until the problem is addressed (or perhaps not, as I more recentlyl learned that there are several ways to use Quick Accent). For your case perhaps it would be a good idea to verify for what languages Quick Accent is activated. It is the third field of its configuration.
Did this happen once only or is it happening consistently? Perhaps you had just typed a l and then pressed the arrow key on that time? I've tried to replicate this on Word but without success.
Can you figure out a way to trigger this?
/needinfo
sorry, i have tried again, but could not trigger it the same way that i had before, although i had thought that i had been pressing 'l' as well, but tehn i thought 'no, i cant have been pressing L as the arrow keys and L.Ctrl + L.Shift are very far away from each other' i cannot find another trigger, sorry.
Hello, I you allow me ... As I witnessed before in the thread, I have the alerts for it, and I see a difficulty to find the symptoms again. So, I made two tests. At the beginning, I have Quick Accent set for French only. "l space" gives nothing. Then I have set Quick Accent for all available languages. Then "l space" gives a choice between six accents. I should have liked to put you a screen copy, but this time I do not see the button for it, that I saw yesterday..
I do not know whether it is possible that this setting is changed accidentally, but maybe it can be a basis of reflection.
That is a possibility..
That is a possibility..
To be honest, it is somewhat frustrating that you are not tempted to verify.
Okay, sorry. If I am to be honest, I did not really understand much of what you put there..
What i did understand, was that you tried to use QuickAccent in both French and All. French wielding no results for 'I', and All wielding 6. I understand that in French 'I' does have an accent, maybe two or three, (i do not remember French that well) so that is the problem? Sorry but I am quite confused..
Oh, I am not aware of that. Naturally, if you know a French language with accents on the l ...
oh? i believe the i accents are as follows: i, î, í, ì so four accents i think
Oh, so it was i ? I understood l … as lower, link ... And of course the accents are not the same. Anyway I provided a screen copy in another thread.
oh Sorry, I thought that you was referring to i, it was L, sorry, i have confused myself
