I have the exact same behavior, but already since v0.55. https://pasteboard.co/VeVwT9FxElmC.png

Anyone found a solution for this yet? I believe at some point I tried putting the old (v0.55) installer in the location indicated in the screenshot, but even then the installer would not continue.
