FancyZones editor bug
Microsoft PowerToys version

Installation method
GitHub, PowerToys auto-update, Microsoft Store, WinGet
Running as admin

Area(s) with issue?
FancyZones
Steps to reproduce
I went from .63 to .64 using the PowerToys updater, and when opening FancyZones editor, it won't render correctly. Tried reinstalling, but nothing has worked. This is a Windows 11 Pro vm using VMware, version is 22H2 with the latest update. Everything works well when rolling back to .63.

Hi @mhweb , the VMWare detail was quite useful.
We've been able to replicate this only on VMWare specifically. (We've tried other VM hosts without success) It seems we're hitting this: https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Workstation-Pro/Critical-BUG-with-rendering-engine-on-Windows-11-Guest/td-p/2886013
Even if the window is white, when hovering the mouse on top of where the top right corner X button is supposed to be, it pops out a bit (still very white-ish, though).
Disabling 3D acceleration in the VM settings in VMWare fixed the issue. It's not clear for us yet what change might have caused this to surface between 0.63 and 0.64, but we're looking into it. In the meanwhile, can you please try this out to verify if this is what is causing the issue for you as well?
Hi @mhweb , Can you please give this unsigned build a test and see if it fixes the issue? Please remember to uninstall your current version before. https://github.com/SeraphimaZykova/PowerToys/releases/tag/v0.0.1-test-modernwpf-downgrade
Thank you, in advance!
Hello, I just installed the test version, and it appears that is working, the FancyZones editor now renders as it should. Thanks,
Thanks @mhweb , We're releasing the fix as part of the 0.64.1 hotfix. Please remember to uninstall the debug build and install the proper version then ;)
Thanks for the fix.
