SVG Thumbnail Preview

Steps to reproduce

I installed PowerToys and rebooted Windows.

✔️ Expected Behavior

SVG files' thumbnails should be shown in explorer.

❌ Actual Behavior

The PowerToys Explorer settings say that I need to reboot Windows for the changes to take effect. I did that, but the SVGs are not being viewed and the warning remains.

Other Software

I have Inkscape v1.1 and it is set as default application to open SVG files. I changed the default application to Microsoft Edge, but the preview didn't show up.

Also, can you post a screenshot of the message and if possible SVG file that you're trying to preview? Does this happen for every SVG file or some specific ones? Thanks.

Hi there!

We need a bit more information to really debug this issue. Can you add a "Report Bug" zip file here? You right click on our system tray icon and just go to report bug. Then drag the zipfile from your desktop onto the GitHub comment box in this issue. Thanks!

Hello. Here you go: PowerToysReport_2022-09-01-22-04-47.zip

Here are some SVG files I try to view. wikipedia.svg and youtube.svg one are ones I got from internet, raw.svg is what i made with Inkscape, but both are not showing. Edge is set as default SVG opener, as recommended by system, but no results.

Also, here's what I see in the PowerToys' File Explorer add-ons tab:

After rebooting, nothing changed. I tried clearing the icon cache, but there was no progress either.

i also have this problem with svg and pdf thumbnails i disabled it and tried to use svgsee but after signing out or reboot explorer has showed nothing but icons instead of thumbnails

I was going to check this app as well. Thanks for the warning.

I can't use my computer right now so I'll give you some ideas. First could you try clearing your icon cache? You can do it using CMD with instructions. If that won't work, could you try running sfc /scannow in CMD?

These file works for me correctly, so it's not about files. Can you update PT to latest version and try again? Also, could you attach bug report again. New version provides some more logs for thumbnail previewers.

Both not working! Thumbnails and previews My PT version is also latest as always There's no other app to affect on thumbnails of those specific files
