swapping ctrl and alt causes strange alt-tab behavior

Steps to reproduce

I have keyboard manager setup like so, to swap ctrl and alt while maintaining the alt-tab shortcut

✔️ Expected Behavior

alt(physical) + tab behaves as normal, while swapping ctrl and alt for other shortcuts

❌ Actual Behavior

when I hit alt(physical)+tab, the windows switch immediately without showing anything on the screen. hitting ctrl(physical)+tab, it shows the switch screen, but doesnt change immediately when I release the keys. This worked correctly in the past on my previous machine running windows 10

I see you have both Ctrl ↔ Alt and Ctrl+Tab ↔ Alt+Tab. Is there a reason you need both? /needinfo

The goal was to have ctrl and alt swapped while leaving the alt-tab shortcut the same (to be like macOS). I was able to do that on my previous PC but for some reason it wont work now

Any update on this? its still present in 0.63.0

Turns out this was an issue with my windows registry. Powertoys wasnt to blame at all

what's the problem whih your windows registry? my alt-tab behavior is strange like you discribed..
