Fansy Zones Editor reported bug when I use hot key combination to call it out.

Open VictoireWood opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

Microsoft PowerToys version

0.59.0

Running as admin

  • [X] Yes

Area(s) with issue?

FancyZones Editor

Steps to reproduce

  1. Run PowerToys as administrator as the system boot.
  2. Press the hot key binding to call out Fancy Zones Editor, which is Shift+Win+`. (I kept the original setting.)

✔️ Expected Behavior

The Fancy Zones Editor appears and the latest chosen layout which is now used by the user is selected by it self before any movement.

❌ Actual Behavior

Actual Behavior

  1. A bug reporting window appears.

    屏幕截图 2022-06-08 125239

The input does not contain any JSON tokens. Expected the input to start with a valid JSON token, when isFinalBlock is true. Path: $ | LineNumber: 0 | BytePositionInLine: 0.

  2. After I close the window, the Fancy Zones Editor appears.

  3. The current using layout is not selected by itself.
Instead, the first Zones' setting on the board was selected automatically.

I was using the layout with a blue circle I drew when I pressed the Shift+Win+` key binding, but the one with red circle was chosen by itself.

After this bug accrued

I downloaded the setup EXE file in the latest release to install PowerToys again, but the problem still didn't solved.

Hi @AntaresShao, it seems the file was locked that one time. That caused the error message and layout reset to the default one. Do you face this problem on the actual PowerToys version? /needinfo
