Export-M365DSCConfiguration is not working in Multi geo SharePoint Tenant

We have a multi geo SharePoint tenant and all our sites are in secondary geo location. When we are trying to export with Export-M365DSCConfiguration, it is always exporting from primary itself. We have connected to the secondary tenant using pnp and then ran the export command, but still it is going to the primary location. As we don't have sites in primary geo location, we are facing challenges with the export. Could you please suggest how this issue can be mitigated or is it a limitation with DSC? if it is a limitation, is this documented officially? Please share the link..
