Logging in from Sourcetree and Tower results in oauth pop-up even when using PAT or basic creds

I've installed Tower and Sourcetree. I've generated a PAT and "Git Credentials"

When I add an account to either application on my trainer account [email protected]/psd30 and supply either the PAT or the basic credentials I also get a pop-up for the oauth credentials.

It doesn't matter which credential I enter here or whether I just close the window or hit cancel, both Tower and Sourcetree can clone successfully regardless of what I do. It seems to be using my supplied credentials just fine.

I'm not getting this behaviour when I change the url back to psd30.visualstudio.com.
