macOS release in .pkg format for Intune Deployment

Open JayVDZ opened this issue 2 months ago • 2 comments

Problem

I'm unable to deploy Azure Storage Explorer via Intune to macOS devices using Microsoft Intune as Intune only supports .PKG or .DMG installers for deploying macOS apps.

Desired Solution

Azure Storage Explorer to be the Apple App Store, or for the macOS release format to be a .PKG or .DMG file.

Related to #2875. A PKG could also be handly for shipping other dependencies with more control.

We first need to find out how costly it will be to build a PKG. Initial investigations lead me to believe it shouldn't be more costly than building the Windows installer.
