@carterbellew The error you may be due to some DNS issue. Please verify if you are behind a proxy and if so enable proxy in Storage Explorer settings. If not, please try to lookup the DNS to see if it can be correctly resolved. If not, you may need to contact your internet service provider or network admin for help.

Hi @JasonYeMSFT ,

I have also received the same error after update to 1.25.1 upon clicking on Blob Containers of Emulator - Default Ports node. Please find the file in the attachments Issue21092022.txt. I have checked whether this is a VPN related issue, but unfortunately the result is the same.

Edit: version 1.23.1 works properly.

@Duch003 are you working with the Windows Storage Emulator (not Azurite)? If so then your issue is known and we will be shipping a fix for it in our next major update. That said, we very much recommend that you move to Azurite.

Hi

I'm having the exact same issue @MRayermannMSFT, I have moved to Azurite but still have the exact same issue when I try to expand any of service in the emulator section

@aksoftware98 so to confirm you are using Azurite and seeing an error like:

The specified resource name contains invalid characters

Can you please share what version of Azurite you are using?

I have been using Azure Storage Emulator for a quite long time and was happy with it but this issue suddenly happened and tried to install Azurite but still the same

Azurite version 3.19.0

I ended up downgrading to version 1.24 of the Azure Storage Explorer and now all fine for me

@aksoftware98 can you share exactly what error you are seeing with Storage Explorer 1.26 and Azurite 3.19? Also, what are you trying to access in Azurite, blobs, queues, or tables?

Closing due to lack of response. If you are still encountering this issue, we recommend opening an Azure support ticket via the portal. Alternatively you can open a new issue here.
