Kinect Auto Exposure and Setting a Region Of Interest

Open HungrySkeleton opened this issue 3 years ago • 0 comments

For Intel cameras, "When Autoexposure is turned on, it will average the intensity of all the pixels inside of a predefined Region-Of-Interest (ROI) and will try to maintain this value at a predefined Setpoint" from https://dev.intelrealsense.com/docs/tuning-depth-cameras-for-best-performance. Based on this, Intel Realsense lineup has the feature to manually set the ROI and the Setpoint. These controls are useful anytime there is dynamic or inconsistent illumination across an image, especially if an important image subject is not centered. Can we confirm that this is how Kinect works as well? If so, is there a way to manually set our ROI and Setpoint?

If this is not currently possible, consider this a feature request.
