Report collection errors in collected objects

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. If an error is encountered in collection a message is printed to the console of various verbosity. Some of these errors may be transient or only occur during one collection run but not another so it would be helpful to have them reported in the collection object so the compare could surface them.

As a follow on from this. Consider having a non-default option to fail out if a collection error was encountered.
