GmSCore memory usage/leak?

Open Lemmiwinks opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

I installed microg through nift4's microg_installer_revived magisk modules. Now I get extremely high memory usage of around 1-2 GB or even more (see pictures). Is this normal? How much do you have? What could be the reason for this? Otherwise it's working alright, safetynet passed, microg settings are a little slow and network based geolocation somehow doesn't work. Thank you!

I too have observed microg to be consistently the highest RAM consumer on my system (Lineage 17.1, microg 0.2.29.233013).

A few months later microg made the phone largely unusable. Foreground apps are getting killed due to insufficient memory. I'm not sure why this is happening, since I have another Lineage 17.1 phone which is completely fine.

microg 0.3.0.233515

microG typically does not use a lot of memory, so there is something about your system that causes it to do something weird.

  • Do you use any Google apps? If yes, please name them.
  • Do you have a Google Account set up in microG?
  • Do you have microG's SafetyNet enabled?
