Supervised Google account won't log in
Describe the bug When I attempt to sign in with my personal Google account, it shows this error message: Please check your network.. Tap to retry.
This bug has begun appearing since I got device supervision via Google's family link on my new Google Pixel 4a (running Android 11: build RP1A.201005.006). I believe that device policy (another supervision app by google) must be using similar or the same code as another user has reported the same bug with that app.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Sign in with a supervised account
- See error
Expected behavior I expect to be successfully signed in and not shown an error message.

Additional context The app I'm trying to use above is the latest version of YouTube Vanced. I have tested this with an excellent wifi connection.

I have this issue as well. The one thing I noticed is this screen after adding the supervised account to MicroG. It seems to imply that there are additional settings, but when clicking Next, it goes back to the MicroG account screen with the new account added, but unable to be selected like the screens in previous comments.
My account is no longer supervised and normal functionality is restored which proves that this is a problem with microG, not my account or my device. Please fix this.
Experiencing the same issue. When the account is no longer supervised, everything works as intended.

Exactly, so I'm not sure where the problem is created, in microg or in youtube vanced?
@mouki9 I'd say microG .. because Vanced can play videos, and the login-dialog box seems to be spawned by microG

I agree, but I think the ppl affected are this little, this issue will remain unsolved forever....
Well, I do see that not many devs care for this, but you can be very sure that MANY more experience this and don't report, simply because a huge percentage of the parents that want to ad-free their kids don't know how to.

Untill the sync happens again after a few hours. It stops working after that....

I have three daughters and I face the same problem except for one of them where I installed vanced + microg BEFORE installing and fingers crossed it's still working after adding Family Link
Is there a way to safely remove Family Link and install it again without bricking the phone?
Same issue. Tried all variations, in the end account fails after supervision is reactivated.
I also have this issue on 2 managed accounts / Mobil phones with family link. I'm really hoping for a solution soon.
Supervision of screen-time is needed for pre-teens, but I also really what to give them access to youtube / YT-music withourt adds.
So its quite a predicament.
NB: I only hvave the "check your network" error on YT Music. Not Vanced Youtube! On samsung galaxy A71

2 years later, will this be fixed? YouTube Auto closes if a childs account is added to microg supervised, making usage of YT vanced unusable.
currently child is forced to use YT without login anonymous
I think this issue will be "fixed" by the kids becoming adults before this gets any attention. :)
New kids will come to replace said older kids.
Just fix this issue already ;O)

My device is managed by G Suite but I do not have family link. Is there any solution for that?
