Make Home Page Player Selection Intuitive

This issue was added due to customer feedback

Make the players on the home page obviously selectable OR Make it so that there is never a time where there isn't a player selected either by means of setting the default selected player to the first, or by using cookies to determine which was the last selected player on that device

This is a UI choice and so deserves some group opinion. I won't be here for the next Monday meeting so I'll schedule this as a message in slack for Monday morning so it can be represented even while I'm not around, in the meantime I'm gonna whip something up and deploy on a box so you can look at it internally for thoughts
