This extension has been my must for years on Gnome now, it would be cool to have animate icon, I think lots of people would enjoy it

Dash to dock lite has animate icons, maybe you could check it out: https://github.com/icedman/dash2dock-lite

Please test Dash to Dock Animator from the developer of dash2dock-lite

git clone https://github.com/icedman/dash-animator make install

Under development. No official extension published yet. Developed for ubuntu (with dash-to-dock fork), arch (with dash-to-dock extension alpha with 43 patches), gnome 42.

Works with left, right, bottom positioned docks, intellihide.
