Dymo 4XL 4x6 Label

Open bsom opened this issue 3 months ago • 7 comments

I don't seem to be able to use 4x6in labels in my Dymo 4XL since the definition "roll_max_2.3125x3600in" doesn't allow me to set a custom label of 4 inches wide. How am I the first to have this issue?!?

What version of LPrint are you using?

What driver did you select?

OK, I realized after the fact that the DYMO driver didn't have a 4" media list like some of the other printers, so I added that:

[master 6f73550] Fix label sizes for DYMO 4XL (Issue #198)

Appreciated. Now I just need to try building it on my Raspberry Pi, which I've had mixed results with. Currently getting: configure: error: PAPPL 1.2 or later is required for LPrint. But I've compiled and install PAPPL just now on a fresh install. Not sure how to point the configure to PAPPL.

Accidentally compiled PAPPL2...downloading PAPPL 1.4 now.

Yeah, I just can't see to get this compiled myself. I can compile it just fine but it constantly crashes with a Segmentation Fault. A damn shame, because I was using this printer just fine with CUPS until I updated my Mac to Tahoe. So I decided to try LPrint, but the 4XL label sizes are wrong in the pre-compiled. I just can't see to get this right. Wiped and rebuilt a Raspberry Pi printer server with LPrint six times now, each with a different failure point.

Just used snap to install LPrint using the channel=latest/edge switch and still get a segmentation fault when I try to get 'lprint status'.

Hmm, can you locate a crash report for it?
