I believe createNestedObject function NEEDS some kind of documentation.

What is the purpose of that function and what is it expected to return?

I believe some comments are necessary for further development.

Personally I don't really understand the reason behind this functions existence. I'd like some comments with what this function tries to achieve, like an example run in as comment.
