Failure to load installer
[EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START] comes up no matter what, not too sure if this is happening to others? opencore-2021-04-21-164407.txt
This is the first I have seen. It's not booting at all? What version of the x270 do you have?
@DomMonte I think wong BIOS config caused this issues
Not Booting at all, Stuck at screen with Crossed Circle Lenovo X270 with i7 7500U CPU I have checked BIOS 5 times ad I thought this might be problem as well
@DomMonte if you got Corossed Circle it mean you passed the step "[EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START] comes up no matter what, not too sure if this is happening to others?" and got a new error right ? I got the 7xxx CPU like you it mean you need to modified the config to adapt with your CPU & iGPU, EFI from this is 6xxx CPU
Do you have your config file? I am not sure what needs to be changed
@DomMonte yes, I have. But mine still have some issues about battery manager and trackpad also (which this thread already mentioned)
thats ok! if you could attach that would be great thank you!
@DomMonte you can check my Fork https://github.com/taida2203/Lenovo-X270-Hackintosh-OpenCore I'm still finding solution for fix the battery issues also, you can give a hand if can
I just tried with your files and it didnt work, are you using Big Sur or Catalina?
@DomMonte you can see the description. It's Big Sur. And which source are you downloaded from, tag or latest source ? I just made 2 new commit to github only. Not tag anything. And my bios version is 1.40 by the way
@DomMonte @michaeldigiacomi @taida2203 Hello All, I had exactly the same situation with my x270 i5-7200u 1920 ips, bios 1.40, samsung p851 m.2 256g, 16g ram, intel 7265 wifi. Tried several OpenCore different versions to install Big Sur / Catalina, all the same , stuck at first apple logo before getting into "macOS X Utilities" screen or "cross circle" with support.apple.com/mac/startup. However, I am able to install Catalina with Clover on the same X270..... (which means my bios setting is no problem?) I had bad feeling that OC bootloader have something wrong with X270 i5-7xxx cpu version , as most of successful cases are X270 i5-6xxx cpu. PS, its not my first Hackintosh, i have ever had x220-clover-mojave, x240-opencore-big sur, desktop-clover-catalina almost 100% perfect running and few other dell/thinkpad not perfect running mainly because of drivers. @michaeldigiacomi hopefully you could work out something for x270 i5 7th gen cpu by OC? (i have just bought 16g ddr4 & dw1560 for this x270, but can not install big sur......) , Thank you to all and please let me know if any of you had good news.
You can use T470 EFI for X270 with 7th gen CPU (mine is 6th gen). They are extremely similar. There are very good repositories on Github for T470 laptops, use one of them.
Cheers

@paullu518 I've forked this repo and push something that fit my 7xxx cpu. you can give a try
@taida2203 I am using my newly built X270 BigSur to write to you now, thank you so much. your EFI at least allow me to start to install Big Sur, although it stuck in the middle after pass MacOS installer. I have adjusted config.plist by using opencore.slowgeek.com, (thanks to @michaeldigiacomi ) then all done. Bluetooth, wifi, airdrop are all ok due to DW1560, sound ok, trackpad/ navigation point ok, lid sleep/wake ok. but after adjust config.plist file, battery indicator and Fn key of display adjustment not function any more, with your original config.plist was fine to load both just can not boot system. I will say X270 now is 80% working. Cheers
Glad to see this repo is still useful. I had to sell my X270 a little while ago due to reasons. Kinds of miss the little guy. Has anyone tried updating to OC 0.6.9?
Mine is at 0.6.9, works fine, Big Sur 11.4.

@paullu518 Mind sharing your efi folder? I got the same problem as yours. Booting problem after the clean-install. I'm on Ventura. Hope you got yours well figured out.
Dear Kskim7
I no more use Macos on my X270, it's on Win 11 now.(cause Win11 is more stable :), as well as battery life) So sorry that I do not have a copy of EFI
Wish you the best of luck Paul
