Need to Display page numbers in the dirpagination controls with out borders

I have a special requirement . I need to display the Page numbers in dir pagination con. trol with out borders around page number like below jquery example. https://datatables.net/examples/basic_init/zero_configuration.html

How can i customize this in dirpagation.tpl.html

Have you tried using css to alter the default styles?
