Bioinformatics Survey
About
This project aims to understand the field of bioinformatics by surveying the people whom work in it. Questionnaire data can be found in the directory corresponding to the year collected. Each data is available under the respective licenses. More details and analysis of the th survey can be found at http://bioinfsurvey.org.
The survey was first collected in 2008 and has since been used in discussions about bioinformatics careers (See 1, 2, 3, 4). A new iteration of the survey was collected in 2012 following a discussion started by Pierre Lindenbaum on biostar. The concrete outcomes for this survey are outlined in aims.txt. Questions asked and the possible answers are listed in questions.yml.
