Hey @a68k, thanks for the bug report! This will probably be tricky to troubleshoot since SoundBoard doen't have any logging.

Are you using the latest version and have you ever run a previous version? What OS are you using? Does SoundBoard run for you on any other system? Is anything like Windows Defender maybe identifying it as an unknown app and blocking it?

I can confirm this issue, when opening the EXE, nothing happens.

Soundboard: 1.10.2.0 Windows: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19045.4046]

This is the first version I tried, so I don't have any data about older versions/other systems.

Thank you (I must check why I get no notification after someone replied in a topic..) I have Win7/64 bit and Win10/64bit (22H2) and on both it only exists in the taskmanager. I tried with and without Defender, UAC, .. It is the latest version 1.10.2.0 I downloaded and tried.

Had same issue. I installed .NET and Visual Studio to build the project and check for errors. But everything ran fine, so I tried the .exe again and it also worked fine. Seems like some dependencies are missing from the .exe but I've never worked with c# so I can't help much more sorry.

I can confirm it. Latest Windows 11 version and the latest version of the soundboard. A process is started (in the task manager) but no window appears, nothing.

This worked for me on Windows 10: Try right clicking soundboard.exe, select properties, compatibility, then select "Windows Vista" under compatibility mode.

The same bug is still present in the latest version of this software. O.S. is Windows 10 22H2.

same issue, just tried running this and nothing has happened, cannot delete the exe as it claims to be running, virustotal is throwing up a trojan issue and is noted as a stealer.

any help on deleting? if it's a genuine program that just isnt working, sounds like the issue has been going on for a while. id just like to delete please :(

cannot delete the exe as it claims to be running

Task Manager -> Details -> Find the exe file there -> RMB -> End task
