astrometric errors and dynspecms
The data that goes into dynspecms is before astrometric correction so there will be larger errors in the positions and the dynspecms probably wont be taken on the optimal pixel (it is just 1 pixel right?).
Wonder if the astrometric corrections could be used to shift the positions used for dynspecms?
For DR1 (and i suspect similar for DR2) this situation is:
The astrometric corrections applied vary from 0.0′′ to 4.4′′ with a median of 0.8′′. The errors on the derived offsets vary from 0.1′′ to 4.8′′ with a median 0.2′′.
These offsets are not applied when doing the dynspecms and I guess in some cases this is large enough that even with the naturally weighted visibilities we might be moving a fair bit off the peak of the target source.
