Tweak documentation and errors causing issues with first run

Here's a list of changes I made in order to get this running on my ubuntu box. You were disabling warnings, had a call to a non-existent object, and the instructions said to use pip.

I added the option of using packages instead, and fixed things that prevented it from running. There is still an issue with the logging config file, which the second commit works around by tweaking the readme to simply say cd into trading first.
