DavMail will not move messages on its own, except in POP mode. You should probably check Thunderbird spam settings and DavMail log to understand what is going on.

You need: `log4j.logger.davmail=DEBUG` to get all IMAP commands passed on your IMAP connection Then look for MOVE message commands.

Did you try to follow instructions at: http://davmail.sourceforge.net/serversetup.html ?

According to your log even in 5.2 you are in fact using EWS direct access => you should probably use /EWS/Exchange.asmx in Exchange path in DavMail settings instead of /owa/

Need more info on the client side to investigate. You can check your DavMail configuration with: `openssl s_client -connect 192.168.178.201:1080`

Would need to have more information on the client interacting with DavMail. DavMail never initiates interaction with Exchange by itself, on authentication errors DavMail returns an error to the client...
