Question Answer Attempt Behavior

Currently, after a user answers the same question wrong twice, it displays a frownie face and will not let them try again. Would it be possible, after a the second wrong answer, to change the check button into a question mark instead of a frown - pressing that button would take them to the reference page where they could find the correct answer(s). If they do go follow the link to the reference page, when they return to the question, they would get one more try. A type of reward for taking the initiative to do more in-depth learning by looking up the correct answer.
