proposal: add jinja extension option

When implementing my own template, I find I really want to use {%do ...%}, but that is in an extension https://jinja.palletsprojects.com/en/3.0.x/extensions/#expression-statement

But this plugin doesn't use jinja. It use nunjucks template engine. Is there an option using extenstions with nunjucks?
