🪟 Editor issues, ideas
Issues I noticed using map editor:
- In Map Options, I can't tick checkboxes on right: pterodactyls, Fish, I can those in left half of screen.
- [✔️Done] Help screen has tiny keys: +, - barely visible font
- [✔️Done] Help has inc/decrease map size twice, probably top 2 should add: X, other 2: Y in name
- big maps like races-01 etc, are slow in editor, in Release build. Doesn't change if I zoom in, or out, it's the same. It's like this depends of total entities/tiles, not only visible. Game has no such issue. (it is because of high draw calls, each tile draws all layers) (by default now it is not zoomed to fit)
- [✔️Done] scroll arrow keys have like a random delay before they start scroll
- [✔️Done] scroll view sliders (both scrollbars) have wrong length or scale. They just don't show visible and total are. E.g. seeing whole map they should be full. Btw scrollbars are too small to notice their visible area.
- [✔️Done] alt mouse move will move tiles - this is bad. Just pressing alt will move tiles randomly. Especially bad after alt-Tab. (changed to alt+shift)
- undoing it is tedious (also related to above) as it does always single operations, i.e. not all things done during last mouse press etc.
- there is no way (?) to adjust placing small items like fruit, egg, more would fit one tile, have to do it in .lua
- can't place npcs in tight places, and can't place on ground really in editor, have to above, related to #114
- user can place twice or more times in same place: tree, fruit, stone, egg etc.
- [✔️Done] on big maps if I scroll right or down, tiles randomly cover whole UI (screen)
an odd issue I saw in game only, far down on races-05 Race5 big Spiral: missing black or shifted tiles
I saw it also once top left at start of races-01
I think the last is an issue with rendering the big 2x2 tile as 1x1, IDK why though.
